The California Association of Realtors is holding their annual convention in Anaheim this week, providing lots of interesting analysis on the future of the residential real estate market.

According to a report in the Orange County Register, Joel Singer, executive vice president of the California Association of Realtors, spoke to conference attendees and stressed how tech-savvy members of the millennial generation “are the homebuyers and sellers of the future.” He noted that the average age of first-time homebuyers is 30.

Generation Y buyers, as they’re being called, are more comfortable than ever with making large purchases on the Internet. It’s a natural progression for this web-savvy group.

Even more interestingly, the panel emphasized the importance of adapting to this new generation of buyers, who tend to get their information from the Internet and social media platforms like Facebook.
